The 'P-Funk Preservation Project' is obviously a P-Funk memorabilia research database, but futher more an intersteallar community dedicated to collecting precise and accurate information about every reachable piece of pure funk history.
Let us research and reach out... Nothing is good, unless you play with it!
Feel free to share your own memorabilia and be a part of the project. The more, the merrier: Multiple preservation of memorabilia by different people are collected to ensure the best results are gathered, which also helps to verify and correct any incorrect data in the database as well as to help recognize alternate versions of the same memorabilia (color variations, autographs and so on).
How we gonna make a funk nation rise? Educate! Educate! Organize!

The 'P-Funk Preservation Project' is an approach to build a historical record of the underrated P-Funk Scene. To reach this goal, we will restructure an extremely extensive digital P-Funk media collection in an acurate custom meta database system. Hopefully this database will help future funkateers and p.historians on their actual doodoo, working titles or even publications. Additionally the project is obviously a long awaited and necessary master tribute to the whole p.funk thang!
In order to be able to guarantee pure, objective and comprehensive documentation, the 'P-Funk Preservation Project' collects and preserves information about almost all physical p-funk memorabilia, that includes both legally and illegally created works and nearly everythang that can be reached, touched and p-viewed: poster, tickets, ads, concert shots, cover, shirts, merchandise, art... funkateers unite!
only exception: press, books, websites, social media... check out the upcoming presslist instead!
